Top Six Perform: So You Think You Can Dance

Last night was phenomenal.  Everyone was amazing with spectacular performances and solos.  It was a one hour instead of two hour episode with two routines for each couple and then a solo performance.

I have to say it though, Katee and Josh together is just something special.  After last night if I was voting for the final I would have picked either of them to win, along with all their prior performances.  They were just brilliant.  It would be difficult for America to get it wrong this time, even Mark was outstanding last night.  However this is my prediction along with whom I believe deserves to go to the finals:

Katee, Chelsie, Josh, and Twitch

Courtney and Mark are great, but those four are definitely the best left…….unfortunately Will should have been in place of Twitch or Josh, but America doesn’t know how to use their phones.

Cat Deeley looked spectacular last night.  Whoever dresses her has done wonders this season.

Stargate Atlantis: Search And Rescue (Season 5)

Show Synopsis:  After being tipped off by Dr. McKay in the future Shephard leads his team to a facility where Michael was planning to deliver Teyla’s baby.  Arriving before the wraith and his science experiemnt followers, they set off a booby trap that collapsed the entire building on the team and their support.  It’s up to Colonel Carter to rescue them, but the clock is ticking as Michael returns with his Wraith ship to claim his prize, and aboard his ship is Teyla, who is already having contractions.

My Review:  Only read on if you enjoy SPOILERS!  I found Search and Rescue to be an excellent opener for season 5 and a suspenseful and fulfilling conclusion to the end of season 4.  Atlantis has a great knack for fun and exciting Season openers and this was no sloutch in comparison.  The first scene that shows Michael receiving the sub-space message from his destroyed lab, traveling threw solar systems, nebulas, and asteroid fileds was an awesome visual that gave the show an epic feel. 

Season Four was very different from the previous three seasons, and it focused more on the inter-realtionships of the team, and bonded them together in a way that was much more palpable than before, and while each of their lives is often in peril, there was no question this episode really exemplified the extremes thei relationships motivated and pushed them.  Each of their sacrfices for each other really made this show special.

Best Scene: Not a shock, but Rodney delivering Teyla’s baby was simply priceless.  Somehow Rodney is always a pitch perfect mix of neurotic, narcissitc, and innert sweeteness.  The delivering of Teyla’s son was that tenfold.  Both funny and kind.

Overall Conjecture:  Looks to be an interesting season that if my predicitons hold up will involve a lot of personal trials for our heros to overcome, rather than galatic ones, since last season they pretty much covered that on every bit of the spectrum.  With Amanda Tapping leaving and Woosley taking her place, there is no doubt that this season is going to have a different feel to it.  I am pretty geared.

Heather Locklear Returns Home

After spending a month in a treatment facility called Sierra Tucson in Arizona for her depression and anxiety troubles, Heather Locklear, 46, returnsto her home Los Angelas.  While in the facility her ten year old daughter Ava stayed with her celebrity father Richie Sambora of the popular rock band Bon Jovi.  Sources say Sambora, who has been through addiction problems, has been very supportive of Heather, calling her daily and is happy with her return.  

 During her stay, Locklear received two visits from her boyfriend, the handsome Jack Wagner, who was also a co-star on Melrose Place with her.  There were also rumors that Heather was in the treatment center for alcohol abuse and a pill addiction.  Those accusations are so far unsubstantiated and have been denied by her publiscist.  Get Well, Heather, one of the loveliest ladies in Hollywood.  For more information Heather was recently on the cover of People Magazine, go pick one up at your local store.

Christian Bale Accused Of Assault

Apparently, the weekend of The Dark Knight premiere Christian Bale has been accused of assaulting his own mother and sister outside the Dorchester Hotel.  It’s been widely circulated that he was estranged from both as years before he took his father’s side in a messy divorce, and the family has never been able to reconcile.  Bale, who is very private was not charged with any crime by the London police after he was questioned.  He will eventually return pending further inquiries, but thusfar seems to be tossed aside with the actors response denying any assault occured.  Sounds like mom and sis may be out to either defame the estranged son/brother or perhaps encourage some of his success be tossed their way.  What an inappropriate, and terrible thing to happen during what should have been such a happy moment in Bale’s career.  Sounds like the case is close and Bale has some nasty and vindictive relatives.

America Got It Wrong…….AGAIN: So You Think You Can Dance!

Last night was painful.  I perceived an emotional elimination round, especially with all the dancers performing so extraordinarily the night before, and the level of talent each have at this point in the competition.  However, there were TWO dancers that truly should have been eliminated last night and one of them went home and one of them did not.  Let’s start with the ladies.

Comfort was the female eliminated last night and rightfully so.  After a tremendous comeback after being previously eliminated she really began to display some growth and maturing in the diversity in her dance.  On performance night, she had a great solo, one excellent routine, and one bad routine.  That bad routine, along with a spell of others were correct in sending Comfort away.  I love Comfort’s personality and she’s a beautiful girl and a beautiful dancer, but Courtney Galiano who was also in the bottom two had no business going home, and I’m happy to see her dance one more week, though I predict Katee and Chelsie as the final two girls, and they should be.  Some people are hardcore Chelsie fans and then there are those like me who are totally behind Katee, who I now believe should win the whole thing.

Will’s elimination was an atrocity.  The fact that Twitch and himself were even in the bottom was an atrocity.  I’m an a  HUGE fan of joshua, but he performed much less than Will or Twitch.  And as for Mark………he even knew that he was the guy who should have been going home, much less not even in the bottom two.  I don’t know what happened with the voters, but they simply allowed the best dancer in the entire competiiton to be sent home.  Will is one of the most beautiful dancers I have ever seen and it’s an atrocity that he’s no longer able to compete.  I’m partial to Twitch and Josh over him because of their performing and personalities, but when it came down to it I would still vote for Will.  But then that’s why they call it America’s FAVORITE dancer, not best.  But seriously, Mark is a very talented charismatic dancer, but moreso than Twitch?  I think not.  Something is wrong here.

The Catmeter last night offered several purrs and meows.  She looked elegant and was no doubt sporting Jimmy Choo shoes again.  I’m falling in love with her shoes above and beyond anything else.

Top Six: So You Think You Can Dance!

This is going to be the most difficult show to vote for yet. Everyone was top notch at last nights performance, and everyone shined in their solos.  Last night was the first night I really felt like Comfort deserved to get passed ahead.  She really raised the bar for herself and showed a tremdous amount of growth, but I also feel that Mark has been her best partner as well.  The disco routine with Josh and Chelsie was simply insane with it’s lift after death defying lift.  I don’t blame Josh for wanting to pass out afterwards.  The guy is built strong, but that was still nuts.  Cat was looking scrumtious and the judges were spellbound by th performances.  I wish I could have voted for everyone last night, but I’m still staying partial to Katee as the best female dancer and Will as the best male dancer, even though I like Josh just as much, and Twitch too.  Darn it.  They didn’t make it easy, that’s for sure.  Here’s some highlights:

Megan Fox Dumps Brian Austin Green

It’s official: after months of speculation Megan Fox has ended her engagement with Brian Austin Green, the former star of 90210 and a fairly unmentionable music career in the 90’s.  It’s been rumored for quite some time that her career was interfering with the couples time together and each was frustrated with the end result.  After nearly a three year engagement it was time to either do the deed or say goodbye.  With Megan’s career taking off and BAG only taking solace in a small role on the new hit show, “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” they were inevitably going in different directions.  Whispers of him not being good for her career and this being a professional move have also been suggested, but nothing confirmed.  Either way, the result is clear: The couple is no more, and the Sexiest woman alive is now single. Curiosity strikes me and I wonder who BAG will date next.  Now that he is no longer with Vanessa Marcil, whom Prince has claimed to be the most beautiful girl in the world, and Megan Fox, FHM’s sexiest woman alive.  His future is just as compelleing

Sarah Chalke says: Be Wedgie-Free!

Sarah Chalke, or Elliot Reed from NBC’s Scrubs is appearing in Hanes new ads involving panties that are wedgie-free.  In fact, the slogan is

Exclamation Point!  These have to some of the funniest ads I have ever seen.  Her newest one can be found in the newest issue of People Magazine with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the cover.  It has the quote:

Jimmy Kimmel & Sarah Silverman Split

After a five year relationship the hilarious Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman end their romance.  Not even a year ago Silverman made a comedic short film about her fictional romance with Matt Damon.  Not to be outdone Kimmel responded with an equally fictional love affair with Ben Affleck.  The couple that met on Comedy Centrals prank show, “Crank Yankers” announced on July 14 with reps from both Jimmy and Sarah to Vanity Fair’s website that:

Jimmy and Sarah have and will have no further comment.

There are no rumours of a third party, or anything volatile.  The break up seems clean and amicable at this time.  Both are busy at work and all seems well on each end.

Britney Gives K-Fed Sole Custody

I’m not one to indulge myself in the Britney Saga as I find most of it disturbing, boring, and sad for her children.  In the end I’ve chopped a lot of her behavior up to being publicity stunts.  She enjoys the public eye in her own sick way, just as Michael Jackson does, but giving up custody of her two sons and only retaining visiting rights seems even a stretch for her.  At her most wonky she seemed resolute in retaining custody of her children.  Reports of her mental stability improving beg the question: Why now?

There seems to be no clear answer yet.  Federlines attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan stated,

The case has been settled.  This is the end of a two-year journey.

Indeed it has and it will be a relief to not hear every small amount of legal bickering between herself and Federline.  Apparently she’s off to work on a new album.  Is this all the encouragement for her to make her “people” more money or what?  Either way if she is still unstable, perhaps it’s best that her children stay with Federline until she can make herself healthy again.
