There have been rumours for months about the new female lead that was supposed to counter Sarah Connor’s character from the new Fox show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She was supposed to be a cutthroat CEO powerhouse that has some connection to the creation of Skynet. Little is known other than that, but it was recently announced that Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson will be joining the cast, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Manson will play Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a cutting-edge high-tech company. I’m a huge fan of Garbage and Shirley Manson, but this is still a shock, especially considering she’s a singer not an actress. I’m apprehensive as to whether this is a smart move or not. Either way, the suspense is delicious.
