Scientology and Celebrities

Seriously, what is the deal with Scientology? I’m not opposed to any religion or spirituality or atheism. My belief is people should have the right to be whatever they want and not be judged for it. That being said, what is the deal with Scientology? I have nothing against Aliens. In fact I’m a firm believer they exist and have visited our planet on many occasions. Who knows, maybe some other sentient life is what destroyed the dinosaurs? In any case, I have no problem with the love for Alien worship aspect of their belief system, but my concern is why we don’t see scientologists in our work places, recreation centers, or sporting events?

There are no Churches of Scientology I’ve ever seen in the Detroit Metro area. In fact, I’ve never heard of anyone practicing Scientology other than celebrities or rich people willing to write large checks. Does the Alien worship require a heavy flow of cash or notoriety for admittance? I’m not mocking, honestly, I’m genuinely curious how this system works. Why is it the only Scientologists I’ve heard of are either rich or celebrities?

What has made them join what many consider is nothing more than a cult?????
